Smash Crusaders is an endless sidescroller-meets-brick-breaker featuring a cute and adventurous slime hero. The hero (the ball) travels around a variety of fantastical landscapes in search of treasure to help build up its score. Players control a magic sword (the paddle) to keep the slime from falling off-screen.
I was Producer and a 2-D Artist on this project.
Responsibilities have included:
- creating 2-D assets for the game
- leading my team of 6 with daily standups and kanban/lean project management
- making financial projections based on comparative market data and adjusting game design to meet that criteria
- pitching to publishers
- designing UI mockups
- playtesting to improve future builds
I developed this game as a paid intern at the MassDigi Summer Innovation Program 2016. The game will be released November 2016.
